Granite or quartz for kitchen?

Just moved into a new place and finally want to do the kitchen right. My old laminate counters are a nightmare to clean after cooking. Saw EdStone Inc mentioned somewhere — anyone used them or know if quartz is worth the price over granite for a busy kitchen?

Quartz all the way for a busy kitchen, no contest. I was in the same boat a year ago - just got a place and the laminate was driving me insane, every little grease splatter looked like a crime scene. Went with quartz and honestly it changed how I feel about cooking at home.

As for Edstone , yeah I've heard of them - a friend actually got her counters done through and was pretty happy. Said the turnaround was fast and they had a massive slab selection to pick from in person, which helped a lot because colors look totally different on a screen.

Granite is beautiful but needs sealing and can stain if you're not careful. Quartz is non-porous so spills just wipe off. For someone who actually cooks daily, that matters way more than the aesthetics debate.
