About Wozart

What is Wozart?


Wozart is your smart home partner. With Wozart you can easily monitor, control and automate your home from just about anywhere in the world.




What can I do with Wozart?


Control & monitor:
You can control or check the status of connected electrical appliances and lights from the app. Perfect for those times when you’re not sure if the lights are left on or the door is locked.

Scenes:
With 'Scenes' you control multiple appliances with a tap in the app. For Example, a “Good Night” scene could be created to turn off all the lights, close the curtains, adjust temperature on the AC to your preference all at once.

Schedules:
Want your lights to turn on or off at specific time of the say? You can create a schedule with in the app for single or multiple devices to turn to a specific setting for a time of the day. Attend to important things in your life while Wozart takes care of your home.

Location-Based Triggers:
With Wozart devices installed, Your Home can sense when you arrive or leave and prepare itself as per your preference. You can automatically trigger appliances and lights based on your geo-location. You can have all the house lights & Air Conditioners turn off once you cross a pre-set distance say 500 m from your home.

Add members:
You can now invite your family and friends to share the joy of connected living. It is as easy as sending an email.




Which Mobile platforms does Wozart support?


Wozart currently supports Android 5.0 or later and iOS 10.0 or later. The Wozart App is available for download from Google Play and App Store.




Can I access Wozart from my computer, mobile web or browser-based platforms?


No. We currently support apps for Android Mobile and Android wear. You can also voice control all smart products using Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Siri or Bixby powered devices. Wozart products also can be controlled from Home app on iOS, SmartThings, Google Home and Alexa Apps. You can also control your devices from the Home app on MacOS.

Does Wozart work with Amazon Alexa?


Yes, we have partnered with Amazon Alexa so you can voice control all connected appliances in your home from all Alexa-enabled displays & speakers.




Does Wozart work with Google Home?


Yes, we have partnered with Google Home so you can voice control all connected appliances in your home from all Google Assistant enabled displays & speakers.




Does Wozart work with Samsung SmartThings?


Yes, we have partnered with Samsung SmartThings so you can voice control all connected appliances in your home from all Bixby powered smart devices.




What is SmartThings?


SmartThings is a Smart home platform by Samsung. It connects wirelessly with a wide range of connected devices and makes them work together. SmartThings allows you to monitor, control, and automate a wide range of connected devices in your home. For example, you can set connected lights to turn on or off at the touch of a button, at the same time each day, when you open doors and windows, when motion is detected in your home, or when you say “Turn on the Living room lights.”




What is Apple HomeKit?


HomeKit is a framework for home automation developed by Apple. HomeKit technology provides an easy, secure way to control HomeKit-enabled accessories using Siri on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch etc. HomeKit certification ensures that all accessories will work together flawlessly. You can also integrate third-party smart products that “Works with Apple HomeKit” with Wozart Aura devices without any hassle.




Do Wozart products work with Apple HomeKit?


Yes. We have partnered with Apple HomeKit so you can control all your connected appliances from Home app or voice control using Siri on all Apple devices.





Using Wozart

Can I control my home appliances away from home?


Yes, you can control, monitor and automate all your connected devices from the Wozart app, supported apps & voice assistants from just about anywhere in the world provided you are connected to the Internet.




What are Scenes?


Scenes enables control of multiple appliances with just a tap or a voice command. They can be created on the Wozart app. For example, a "Good Night" scene could be created to turn off all the lights, close the window curtains, adjust the AC temperature to your liking all at once.




What are Schedules?


You can create a schedule within the Wozart Aura app for single or multiple appliances to turn on/off at a time of the day. Attend to more important activies in your life while Wozart Aura takes care of your home controls.




What is a favorite device?


A favorite device is the one, you use frequently and could access from the Home tab of the app. In case you want to add/remove any device to the Home tab, touch and hold the appliance icon to open edit screen where you can enable/disable "Add to Favorite" field.




What is a favorite Scene?


A favorite Scene is the one you use frequently and need to have in the Home tab of the app. In case you want to add/remove any scene from the Home tab, touch and hold the tile to open edit screen and then enable/disable “Add to Favorite” field.




What happens if my internet connection is down?


All Wozart products and Wozart app support local control. With this you can control all your connected devices even if the internet goes down, as long as your phone is connected to your home Wi-Fi network.




What is local control?


When you controller device (phone, tablet etc.) and aura switch are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, they communicate with each other with router acting as a bridge. This is called Local control. When the controller device and aura switch are not connected to the same Wi-Fi network then they communicate our cloud cloud servers and is called remote control.




What happens if my Wi-Fi network is down?


Woart App and devices require Wi-Fi to connect and communicate with each other. Even if you lose Wi-Fi connection, you will still be able to manually control your devices. Once the Wi-Fi router is restored, Wozart products will reconnect automatically.




Do I need pay subscription fee to use Wozart app?


No, Wozart app is completely free to use.




Does it cost me to control home appliances remotely?


No, Wozart app is completely free to download & use. Even control from the voice assistants is free.





Device & Configuration

Do I need to change my switchboard?


No, Wozart switch controllers are designed to fit perfectly in the space behind a standard switchboard.




How do I connect Wozart devices to a new router or what happens if I make changes to my Wi-Fi network name or password?


You have to get Wozart device to set-up mode. To Factory reset the device, follow the instructions provided in the manual.




Do Wozart products require special wiring?


No, Wozart devices doesn't require any additional or special wiring and seamlessly integrated with your existing switchboards.




Would my existing physical switch work?


Yes, they function normally. When you control appliances using switches it reflects on the app interface as well.




Do I need any additional smart hubs?


No, Wozart devices communicate directly with your home Wi-Fi and doesn't require additional hubs.




Will the Wozart switch controllers fit behind my existing switchboard?


Yes, Wozart switch controllers are meticuloulsly designed to fit behind standrad Indian switchboard.




Will Wozart products reconnect after power failure?


Once the router is up, Wozart products will connect back and are available for control from smart devices.




Can I integrate other products with Wozart?


Wozart products can be integrated with any home automation device that has “Works with HomeKit” or “Works with SmartThings” badge on the packaging.




Will Wozart devices connect to a 5GHz network?


Wozart products will only connect and work with 2.4 GHz network. In case you are using dual-band routers ensure both the networks have different SSID (name) or switch off the 5GHz band.




Why does my Wozart devices show "No Reponse"?


This may be due to either network interference or network congestion. Please ensure you are running 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. In case you are using dual-band routers ensure both the networks have different SSID (name) or switch off the 5GHz band

Please note: Traditional 2.4 GHz band reach up to 150 feet (46m) indoors and 300 feet (92m) outdoors.

  • Make sure the number of Wi-Fi connected devices are within wireless network range of your router. Otherwise, please replace or add an additional router.
  • Reconnect your smart device to Wi-Fi and make sure your Wi-Fi signal is strong enough.
  • Wait until the network is fixed if your router performs poorly in wireless networks that might result from network congestion.
  • Check the router settings and see if there is any limit to the number of simultaneous connections.
  • Restart or restore your Wozart device to factory settings, and add device.
  • Update the firmware to the latest version.




What should I do if the Wozart product is offline?


First ensure, the Wi-Fi network is working normally. In case there are no problems with the network, normal reset the device and check if it is connected back. Even then, if the problem persists, Factory reset and Add the device. Get the Wi-Fi router closer or add a Wi-Fi repeater near to the device.

Members

Can I share my home control with other people?


Yes, you can share the connected living experience with your near and dear, simply by sending an invite using their email address. To share access; go to Home>Settings> Members > tap "+" on the top-right corner and enter member email address registered with Wozart.




Can I revoke access of my home to members?


Yes, the owner can revoke access of shared members. Go to Settings > Members > Select user > Revoke Access.




Can a guest user exit from a shared home?


Yes, guest user can leave the shared home. Go to Shared Home > Settings > Select user > Leave Home.




Who is the owner of a home?


Owner is the user who has created the home and configured Wozart device. He/She can add or remove users from the home.




Is there a limit to the number to Guest users?


No, there is no limit on the shared members for a home.





Data Security

What access does Wozart have of my products?


Wozart has information of the Wozart devices paired to your account, the firmware version on them, names assigned to the connected appliances. We don't store any passwords of your Home Wi-Fi network or your account with Wozart.




How can I ensure my devices are secure and up to date?


We are constantly testing and auditing the security of our and partner platforms. We make frequent updates to the Wozart app and products to ensure you have the latest security. Always update your smart devices and products when new software or firmware is made available. These updates not only give you latest functionality but keep your products secure.





Apple HomeKit

What is Apple HomeKit?


HomeKit is framework for home automation developed by Apple. HomeKit technology provides an easy, secure way to control HomeKit-enabled accessories using Siri on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, HomePod, Apple watch or Airpods. HomeKit certification ensures that all accessories will work together flawlessly.




What is HomeKit Accessory?


HomeKit Accessories are connected devices that have an official “Works with Apple HomeKit” badge on their packaging. These accessories are certified by Apple under its MFi Program. The accessories have a special MFi chip built into it. MFi stands for Made for iPhone/iPod/iPad.




How do I know a product is a HomeKit Accessory?


A product is a HomeKit accessory if it has been licensed by Apple as a HomeKit compatible product. All HomeKit products will have a “Works with Apple HomeKit” mark on the packaging.




Are Wozart Products certified by Apple?


Yes, Wozart products that have “Works with Apple HomeKit” badge on the packaging is certified by Apple under its MFi Program.




Does HomeKit accessory work with Apple Watch?


Yes, just enable the connected appliance as favorites and they can be controlled from control center and Apple Watch.




Do Wozart products work with Siri?


Yes, turn on lights, control all appliances in your home just from anywhere in the world. You can do it all by asking Siri. Please refer to https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT208280 for more information.




What is a home hub?


To control you HomeKit accessories remotely, grant access to other family members, and have accessories to do what you want, when you want, you need to set up a HomePod or HomePod mini or an Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD with the latest version of tvOS, or an iPad with the latest version of iOS as a home Hub. The home hub must remain in your home, connected to Wi-Fi and powered on.




How to set HomePod as a home hub?


On your iOS device or Mac, set up two-factor authentication for your Apple ID. Then go to iCloud and make sure that you have iCloud Keychain turned on. HomePod automatically sets itself up as a home hub so you can control your HomeKit accessories remotely with the Home app and create home automations. Just make sure that the iOS device you used to setup HomePod & HomeKit accessories are signed into iCloud with the same Apple ID.




How to set Apple TV as a home hub?


On your iOS device or Mac, set up two-factor authentication for your Apple ID. Then go to iCloud and make sure that you have iCloud Keychain turned on. On your Apple TV, go to Settings > Accounts and make sure that you are signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID as your iOS device. After you sign into iCloud, your Apple TV automatically sets itself up as a home hub. To check the status of your home hub, go to Settings > Accounts > iCloud and look under HomeKit to see if your home hub is connected.




How to set iPad as a home hub?


On your iOS device or Mac, set up two-factor authentication for your Apple ID. Then go to iCloud and make sure that you have iCloud Keychain turned on. Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud and make sure that you're signed in to iCloud with your Apple ID. Scroll down and check that Home is turned on. Go to Settings > Home and turn on "Use this iPad as a Home Hub".




Can I control HomeKit accessories when away from Home?


Yes, but you need a HomePod, an Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD with the latest version of tvOS, or iPad (iOS 10 or newer) set as a Hub to remotely use through iCloud.




Can I share my home control with others?


Yes. You can share control of your home with your near and dear. Please refer to https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208709 for more information




Can I automate devices connected to my HomeKit accessories?


Yes. You would need to setup a home hub. For more information follow this link.




I am not able to control my HomeKit accessories remotely?


If you have multiple home hubs set up, the primary home hub will show as connected. The other home hubs will show Standby as their status and will take over remote access if the main home hub is disconnected. Make sure you have a home hub configured. Open the "Home" app on your iOS device, tap in the top left corner. Click "Home Settings", select your home in the "Home" list, and then under "home hub", see if the home hub shows "Connected." If you use an iPad, Apple TV, HomePod as a home hub, check if the iPad, Apple TV, HomePod is connected to the router and in the same Wi-Fi network. Do not enable flight mode in iPad.

What is SmartThings?
